My life on campus

Oxford campus associations

The associations form a vital part at EM Normandie Oxford and is our pride and joy!

For the next academic year, you will find the next associations:

  • La Fédération des Etudiants,
  • The Students Council (BDE),
  • The Sports Council (BDS),
  • The Arts and Culture Society (BDA),
  • ICO: International Council of Oxford dedicated to our International Students,
  • TOS: The Oxmose Shire – the music association,
  • Include’EM: our Charity Association promoting inclusion, diversity and charity,
  • Mod’EM: our association dedicated to the fashion,
  • Try th’EM: the association in charge with discovering the city and its good spots,
  • Medi’EM: our association in charge with medias and communication,
  • Wine More Time: our oenological association, the oldest on our campus.

For the first semester focus on exploring what Oxford and EM Normandie can offer you for your events. Rooms on campus can be booked until 8:30 PM on Tuesdays and Thursdays, you need to contact the Student Life Officer for availability in dates and times. Things that you can’t do at an EM Normandie room:

  • You can’t bring in alcoholic beverages, but you can bring in juices, fizzy drinks and snacks (cold snacks more recommendable over hot ones).
  • You can’t display a movie (for more information contact the SLC).
  • You can’t play music over certain volume due to respecting the rest in lectures and the people among the building.
  • You can do DIY, you can do quizzes, you can play games, you can do breakfasts (especially in the Chill room), organize meetings or presentations regarding the association and everything you imagination can think of.

Association life in Oxford means putting your knowledge into practise, developing your soft skills and creating some new ones, meeting people on and off the campus.

We would like to develop even more partnerships with local stakeholders as Oxford City Council, John Lewis, Oxford University, Oxford Brooks University, … So, if you want to be part of this project, we are waiting for you!

Be ready for the next academic year : the more events the better, always in line with the association goal. Never hesitate to ask the Student Life Officer, and always seek having fun and enjoying the experience!
