My life on campus

Le Havre campus

Located on the Normandy coast, Le Havre stands out for its dynamism and exceptional living environment. Ranked among the most attractive student cities in France, Le Havre offers the perfect balance between quality of life, cultural richness and academic opportunities.

An easily accessible campus

Access to the campus is via a code or your student card, which will be given to you at the start of the academic year. These will allow you to access the School, classrooms and various areas throughout your course at EM Normandie.

You can easily park your bike or scooter in the outdoor bike park located along the campus (rue Jean Maurel). You can rent bikes (by the day or month) or electric scooters at the foot of the campus.

The campus is secured by a badge access control system (your student card), which will be given to you at the start of the academic year along with a lanyard and badge holder in the School’s colours. You must always have it with you to access the School and various areas throughout your studies at EM Normandie.

EM Normandie experience

Located on the waterfront, the Le Havre campus offers modern facilities, allowing you to study in ideal conditions. The 14,000 m² open and futuristic building was inaugurated in 2020 and offers numerous training and living spaces, as well as fully digital and modular classrooms to encourage interaction and creativity.

The campus has two outdoor terraces. A magnificent central atrium connects the 2nd to 7th floors and provides access to the classrooms. A multi-sports hall and a weight room on the 6th floor are available to students, as well as a large space, the EM Square (1st floor), dedicated to club activities and relaxation.

Catering service

A cafeteria area is available, as well as food and drink vending machines. You can buy your meal on site or reheat your lunch. Microwave ovens are also available at EM Square. The Docks Vauban shopping centre is also a 10-minute walk from the campus, offering a variety of shops and restaurants.

Associative life

The associative life at EM Normandie is an essential part of the student experience, offering a multitude of opportunities to get involved, innovate and develop transferable skills. The numerous associations covering a wide range of fields such as entrepreneurship, culture, sport and solidarity enable everyone to find their place and flourish.

Culturally, Le Havre is a rich and diverse city. Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its post-war reconstruction architecture, the city is home to iconic monuments such as Saint Joseph’s Church and the Maison de la Culture. The MuMa (André Malraux Museum of Modern Art) is a must-see for art lovers. Le Havre is also renowned for its cultural events, such as the Ouest Park festival and numerous contemporary art exhibitions. Student life is particularly lively, with student parties, concerts and sporting events punctuating the city, offering many opportunities to meet and socialise.

Le Havre is a dynamic economic hub offering numerous opportunities for internships, work-study programmes and jobs. The city is a major logistics and industrial hub with an active port and many innovative companies. Public transport, with an efficient bus and tram network, makes it easy to get around the city.
