Financing my education

Financing arrangements, tuition schedule and scholarships

Funding arrangements

There are two ways of financing your education:

  • Bank transfer

This method of payment is compulsory for all bank details outside the SEPA area.

You will find below the different ways to pay by bank transfer before the end of September:

  • 1 time for the amount of a 4-year cycle with 5% discount,
  • 1 time for the amount of a 3-year cycle with 4% discount,
  • 1 time for the school year concerned.

A one-off payment for the whole course (except for the Grande École Programme where there will be one payment for the Undergraduate part and one for the Master’s programme), otherwise a one-off payment per academic year.

  • Direct debit

Payment by direct debit is only available for invoiced amounts of over €999.00.

Direct debits are made at the end of each month.

Below are the different ways to pay by direct debit:

  • 1 time for the amount of a 4-year cycle with 5% discount (due in September),
  • 1 time for the amount of a 3-year cycle with 4% discount (due in September),
  • 1 time for the school year concerned (due in September),
  • 5 times per year of attendance (deadlines September/November/January/March/May).

We remind you that direct debits are only available in the SEPA area.

If no bank account is available in this area, please select the « Transfer » payment method.

Payment terms and schedule of tuition fees

The payments and payment schedules are the same for all campuses.

It is possible to pay in instalments only by direct debit up to 5 times per year of attendance (due in September/November/January/March/May).

What does the “percentage” box in the “Financial information” section mean when finalising the financial entry?

The % is used when the amount of the costs is shared between two financial sponsors. It indicates the % of the invoiced amount paid by each of them. The total must be 100%.

If there is only one financial guarantor, the default value is 100%.

What should I do if I have validated my enrolment online but have not received the request to sign the tuition contract?

The signature request is generated manually but may be checked by the Finance department if you have selected a delivery option. If you have not heard from us within a week, please contact finance@em-normandie.fr

Can I pay an invoice by credit card?

Yes, but only on the Caen and Le Havre campuses, by going to the Finance department on these campuses.

Can I pay a bill in cash?

You can pay a bill in cash up to a maximum of €1,000 if your tax residence is in France or €15,000 if it is abroad.

Can I be debited on a day other than the 28th of the month?

No, direct debits are only taken on the 28th of the month.

How much does a business school cost?

Different fees at each school

You will no doubt have noticed that each school sets its own fees, which vary significantly from one establishment to another.

So it’s important to make sure that the student experience on offer lives up to your expectations and that your future school makes your professional integration a priority. The job placement surveys carried out among EM Normandie graduates show excellent job placement rates and a high level of satisfaction among graduates with their first job.

Fee revisions in some schools

Another important point is that some schools revise their fees from one year to the next. This means that students see their tuition fees increase compared with what was expected when they entered the school.

Consult tuition fees by programme here.

I am paying by cheque, what order and what details should I give?

Cheques should be made payable to “EM Normandie” and returned to the Caen campus address.

Please enclose the coupon at the bottom of the invoice.

What schemes are there to reduce the cost of tuition fees?

Work-linked training for professional development and remuneration

By taking part in a sandwich course at the end of your course, you can considerably reduce the overall cost of your training, as your tuition fees are fully covered by your employer during this period. What’s more, the salary you receive covers your living expenses (accommodation, food, transport, etc.) and even your leisure activities! You’ll gain financial independence and be more confident about financing your studies.

EM Normandie is a leader in work-linked training, with an integrated CFA and thousands of offers from partner companies… even exceeding demand.

Today, EM Normandie accounts for around 10% of work-linked training students at the Grandes Écoles in France!

Financial aid for students

EM Normandie places the social mix of its students at the heart of its priorities by offering various financing solutions: student loan simulator, grants, emergency fund, partnership with banks, interest-free loans, etc.

She will be able to identify possible ways to improve your situation and accompany you in all the necessary steps, in complete confidentiality.

EM Normandie also offers various grants to help you finance your studies as well as emergency assistance for the most difficult times.

A platform allows you to submit your application directly online:

EM Normandie and its Foundation finance social scholarships thanks to the generosity of its many donors in order to promote equal opportunities and social diversity within the School.

EM Normandie students can benefit from 3 types of grants or financial aid thanks to the Student Social Fund (FSE):

  • A “Méritant Scolaire” scholarship: this is a reduction in tuition fees for scholarship students (minimum level 1) who obtained an average of more than 14/20 in each semester during their previous academic year at the École. Please note, however, that you can only apply for this grant in semester 1 of your current year.
  • A “Life contingency” grant: this is a reduction in tuition fees for students who have suffered a life contingency since they entered EM Normandie (death of a parent, loss of employment, illness, etc.). This grant is awarded in addition to legal social aid to cover tuition fees.
  • An “Emergency Aid” for students of the School in critical financial situation (medical, food or housing emergency).

Despite the financial problems, keep in mind that a good budget is a budget to anticipate. To help you build your financing plan, don’t hesitate to use our dedicated platform.
